The Halifax Thunderbirds are a professional box lacrosse team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. They are a member of the North Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team was founded in 1999 as the Nova Scotia Schooners, and changed their name to the Thunderbirds in 2018. The Thunderbirds play their home games at the Scotiabank Centre.
The Thunderbirds have won two NLL championships, in 2016 and 2019. They have also won the North Division title six times, in 2006, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2018, and 2019.
