The Southern Virginia University Knights are the athletic teams that represent Southern Virginia University (SVU), a private liberal arts university located in Buena Vista, Virginia. The Knights compete in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division III level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the USA South Athletic Conference since the 2021–22 academic year. The men’s volleyball team competes in the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC).

The Knights’ mascot is a knight in full armor, and the school colors are royal blue and gold. The university’s motto is “In Lumine Tuo Videbimus Lucem,” which means “In Thy Light We Shall See the Light.”

The Knights have a strong tradition of athletic excellence, having won numerous conference championships and individual awards. The university has also produced a number of professional athletes, including former NFL player Edwin Mulitalo, who is the current head football coach at SVU.
