The Purdue University Northwest Pride is the name of the athletic teams at Purdue University Northwest (PNW), a public university in Northwest Indiana. The nickname “Pride” is meant to symbolize the strength, courage, and determination of the university’s students, faculty, and staff. The lion is a common symbol of pride, and it is also the mascot of Purdue University, PNW’s parent institution.
The PNW Pride competes in the NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
