The Bluffton University Beavers are the athletic teams that represent Bluffton University, a private liberal arts university in Bluffton, Ohio. The Beavers are members of the NCAA Division III and the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The school colors are Bluffton purple and white.
The Beavers mascot is a beaver named J. Denny Beaver. J. Denny was introduced in 2010 to honor Dr. J. Denny Weaver, a professor of religion and a longtime faculty athletics representative at Bluffton. In the fall of 2014, Jenny Beaver joined the campus to help spread school spirit.
The Beavers have a long and storied history of athletic success. The men’s basketball team has won 10 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships, while the women’s basketball team has won 7 conference titles. The baseball team has also won 3 conference championships, and the softball team has won 2 conference titles.
The Beavers are known for their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. They are also known for their strong community support. The Bluffton community is always out in force to cheer on the Beavers.
